After I wrapped up my teaching career and my two children left home, I realized that I had been neglecting my personal growth for years. Determined to find out who I was and what I wanted from life, I sought the guidance of mentors and coaches. They helped me uncover my outdated belief that I was responsible for others' happiness. This old narrative led to people-pleasing, self-doubt, and the suppression of my true self. By addressing this awareness, I silenced the negative mind chatter and relearned how to live authentically. The work I've done to rediscover my essence has liberated me and significantly improved the quality of my life.
